Inventions In The Last 100 Years That Changed The World

Civilizations have been changed by people's inventions and technologies. Each generation has its own group of inventive thinkers as expectations and skills change.
Many inventions have been made in the last hundred years that have changed the world. Here are eight of those inventions.

1. LED Bulbs
LED lights are the most energy-efficient type of lighting available. Nick Holonyak, Jr. designed this now-ubiquitous item in 1962. The original ones were only available in red, but pale yellow and green became accessible as technology advanced.

The blue LED was invented in the early 1990s. This was followed by the white LED. Today, LED bulbs are used in many different things, like traffic lights, flashlights, and TVs. They use much less energy than regular bulbs, so they help us save power. As prices for LEDs go down, more people are using them all around the world.

2. Printer
Many technologies, like the laser printer, come from the inventions of many different people. The first laser printer was created by Xerox PARC in 1969.
Six years after the first research was conducted, Xerox created the "9700 Electronic Printing System." This new model included all of the features that are now considered valuable in a printer, such as page formatting, character creation, and laser scanning.
IBM made a machine that could print 100 copies in one minute before Xerox did. IBM said they put the first one in an office in 1976. This machine was also the first printer to use both laser and electrophotography at the same time.

In 1988, Hewlett-Packard made a breakthrough with its DeskJet inkjet printer. This printer became a good accessory for home computers because the company could make it at a lower cost. However, it did come with a $1,000 price tag. Now you can get an HP DeskJet for about $40! 3. E-Reader Kindle

Amazon started as an online bookseller, but it has become much more than that. It is now a digital innovator and has demonstrated its power with products like the Kindle E-Reader.
The wireless internet feature on the e-reader is important because it allows users to access millions of books online. The Kindle changed book reading, even though Amazon did not create it. Other versions of the e-reader, such as the SoftBook and Rocket eBook, were released in 1998.

4. Digital Camera
The first person to propose the idea of a filmless camera was Eugene F. Lally of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 1961. He thought it would be a good idea to use a digital camera for space exploration so that astronauts could take pictures of planets and stars to help them know where they were Willis Adcock, who worked for Texas Instruments, filed a patent for a filmless camera 1972.

However, the general public never saw these concepts. The Fuji DS-1P was made in 1988 but never sold. The Dycam Model 1 was the first successful model to hit the market in 1990. As a result, Kodak’s Kodachrome film format was discontinued 19 years later.
